Vocational Bursary Scheme

Vocational Training Bursaries

NamPower’s vocational bursary programme provides opportunities for young Namibians to gain practical, accredited technical qualifications aligned with NamPower’s operational needs and Namibia’s growing energy sector.

The company, on a yearly basis, invites applications for Vocational Training Bursaries from young Namibians who wish to pursue vocational studies at the NamPower Training Centre in Windhoek towards artisan status in Electrical Engineering (Electrical General) or Mechanical Engineering (Fitting and Turning). The courses are offered at 3 levels (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3). After the third year, the trainees are recruited through the NamPower Artisan Development Programme for 2 to 3 years to ensure that they gain work and practical experience. Upon completion of studies, students are awarded a National Trade Certificate N3 (Artisan).

Vocational Training Bursary applications are advertised in January - February of every year.
