Payment Of Your Electricity Account Per Debit Order

For your convenience NamPower has a debit order system available to simplify account payments for our Customers. We strongly recommend that you make use of this system for the reasons given below. Currently most of our Customers are paying their accounts per debit order.

How you as Customer benefit by this arrangement

  • You are assured that your payment reaches us by the required date.
  • There is no fear that your power supply may be cut off due to late payment.
  • You can go on holiday without having a worry about arrangements you will have to make for paying your NamPower account.
  • There is no additional charge from NamPower for this convenience.
  • You will pay about the same bank charges for the debit order entry as you would have done when you paid by cheque.
  • NamPower will bear the cost of capturing and transmitting the data to the bank every month.

How the system works

NamPower will send your electricity account to your postal address as usual. Your are initially requested to complete the enclosed debit order form which will enable us to debit your bank account on the 14th day of every month with the previous month's electricity account. You still have the same right to object to the calculated amount payable. According to your contract with NamPower you are however bound to pay the account before you can lodge an objection. You can cancel this debit order arrangement by giving us 30 days written notice. We will supply our bank with your particulars and with every month's electricity charge. You do not have to arrange anything with your bank.
