NamPower’s is a proud sponsor of the National Commission on Research, Science and Technology (NCRST) to expand and strengthen national Mathematics and Science promotional programmes, with a particular focus on learners in rural and underserved communities. The support is extended in recognition of the alignment between NCRST’s programmes and NamPower’s commitment to education and skills development.

NamPower Foundation has committed N$727,000 for the 2026 financial year, which will be allocated as follows:

1. Rural STEM Outreach Programme: N$200,000.00
2. Eskom Expo for Young Scientists: N$50,000.00
3. National Science Fair Awards: N$92,000.00
4. Mathematics Olympiad Awards: N$247,000.00
5. National Science Quiz Awards: N$138,000.00

NamPower acknowledges the significant role of NCRST in advancing research, science, technology and innovation in Namibia, as well as contribution to promoting learner participation in national STEM-related initiatives. Through this funding, NamPower and NCRST reaffirm their shared commitment to strengthening STEM education, expanding access to learning opportunities, and nurturing the next generation of scientists, innovators and problem-solvers in Namibia.
