NamPower continues to commit itself to supporting Namibia’s industrialisation agenda and contributing to the development of sustainable energy solutions that can enable green industrial growth in Namibia and across the African continent.

The company participated in the recently concluded Africa Green Industries Summit, held under the theme “Africa’s Green Industrial Pivot – From Resource Wealth to Green Prosperity,” in Swakopmund, last week.

The Summit sought to complement and reinforce Namibia’s industrialisation agenda by providing a continental platform that brings together policymakers, utilities, investors, project developers, development finance institutions, technology providers, and industry leaders.

Discussions focused on exploring practical and sustainable solutions for powering African industries through clean and sustainable energy systems.

NamPower’s paper titled, “NamPower’s Green Industrial Revolution: Updates on NamPower’s Green Energy Pipeline”, was presented by its Senior Engineer – Generation Capital Projects, Tangeni Tshivute, which provided insights into NamPower’s ongoing initiatives and projects.
