Light bulbs (CFLs)

At a time when Namibia is experiencing a shortage of power, the responsibility has fallen upon everyone to preserve electricity.

To limit the amount of energy used in households, people are encouraged to switch from using conventional light bulbs to CFL bulbs.

Why CFL bulb?

CFL bulbs are the best alternative to replace the conventional light bulb.  They use 70% less electricity than conventional light bulbs, making them longer lasting and very economical.

What do I need to know about CFL bulbs?

• CFL bulbs provide the same light quality as conventional light bulbs.

• CFL bulbs last 6 times longer than conventional light bulbs.

• CFLs generate less heat than conventional light bulbs.

• For exactly the same light output, CFLs require less watts than conventional light bulbs.

By simply replacing your conventional light bulbs with CFL bulbs, you will not only help Namibia save, but yourself as well.
