Keith Hughes has more than 29 years of corporate transaction experience, centered in large part on the energy industry: debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions (including privatizations), and restructurings required by down cycles. He has long experience in representing and understanding the requirements of North American institutional investors, including most major U.S. and Canadian life insurance companies and large pension funds. He has also represented a number of independent petroleum companies in mergers and acquisitions involving both upstream and downstream operations, as well as in various project and acquisition financings.

Mr. Hughes' cross-border experience includes transactions in Africa, Latin America, Western Europe, Russia, and Asia, in the areas of energy, agriculture, food processing, breweries, steel, industrial machinery, wire and cable manufacturing, cement production, mining, telecommunications, cigarette manufacturing, and retail trading. Mr. Hughes is fluent in Spanish.
