NamPower continues to invest substantially in the Transmission and Distribution infrastructure.

The construction of the Kuiseb Sub-Station and the 220kV Transmission line, providing additional power to the growing demand for electricity at the coast, has been completed at the cost of N$282 million.

The 294 km 220kV line extends from the Van Eck Power Station through the Western townships of Windhoek into the Khomas Hochland following the Us-pass road (D1982) and further into the Namib Naukluft Park up to the new Kuiseb Transmission Station in the vicinity of Walvis Bay.

This project marks a major contribution by the NamPower Group to the Namibian economy.
