G/ONB/NPWR-07/2018 Open National Bidding Goods NamPower wishes to notify the public of the awarding of the contract relating to the bid cited above, as prescribed by Section 55(8) and Regulation 39(1) of the Public Procurement Act (Act 15 of 2015).

NamPower had invited bidders on 20th November 2017 to take part in an Open national bidding process pursuant to Section 29 for the Supply, delivery and offloading of various HV and MV voltage Transformers.

The bid closed on the 22 February 2018 at 11: 00 am, at the NamPower Head Office, in the presence of representatives of the bidders.

The bids were subsequently evaluated for eligibility, technical compliance and financial qualification. Only ACTOM Energy Namibia passed the eligibility evaluation stage therefore is offers were then evaluated for technical compliance and were found to be technically responsive.

As a result, the bid G/ONB/NPWR-07/2018 was awarded to ACTOM Energy Namibia for an amount of N$3,004,264.60 (VAT exclusive).
G/ONB/NPWR-01/2018 Open National Bidding Goods NamPower wishes to notify the public of the awarding of the contract in relation to the bid “G/ONB/NPWR-01/2018 FOR THE SUPPLY, DELIVERY AND OFFLOADING OF VARIOUS MV AND HV DISCONNECTORS WITH SUPPORT STRUCTURES”, as prescribed by Section 55(8) and Regulation 39(1) of the Public Procurement Act (Act 15 of 2015).

NamPower invited bidders on 20 November 2017 to take part in an Open National Bidding process, pursuant to Section 29, for the supply, delivery and offloading of various MV and HV Disconnectors with support structures.

The bid closed on the 2nd February 2018 at 11: 00 noon, at NamPower Head Office in the presence of representatives of the bidders.

The bids were subsequently evaluated for eligibility, technical compliance and financial qualification. ACTOM and ABB passed the eligibility evaluation stage. The offers were then evaluated for technical compliance and both companies were found to be technically responsive. Consequently the two bidders’ priced offers were compared to determine the least cost and technically compliant responsive offers.

As a result, item 1,2 and 7 was awarded to ACTOM Energy Namibia (Pty) Ltd for an amount of N$5,616,747.79; while item 3,4,5,6 and 8 was awarded to ABB Namibia (Pty) Ltd for an amount of N$5,206,460.00. All prices were VAT exclusive.
G/ONB/NPWR-12/2018 Open National Bidding Goods NamPower wishes to notify the public of the awarding of the contract relating to the bid cited above, as prescribed by Section 55(8) and Regulation 39(1) of the Public Procurement Act (Act 15 of 2015).

NamPower had invited bidders on 15th November 2017 to take part in an Open national bidding process pursuant to Section 29 for the Designing, manufacturing, delivering, installing, testing and commissioning of the generator protection schemes upgrade from electromechanical relays to intelligent electronic devices for units 1, 2 and 3 at Ruacana Power Station.

The bid closed on the 23 March 2018 at 11: 00 am, at the NamPower Head Office, in the presence of representatives of the bidders.

The bids were subsequently evaluated for eligibility, technical compliance and financial qualification. Only Megatron Engineering Namibia (Pty) Ltd passed the eligibility evaluation stage therefore is offers were then evaluated for technical compliance and were found to be technically responsive.

As a result, the bid G/ONB/NPWR-12/2018 was awarded to Megatron Engineering Namibia (Pty) Ltd for an amount of N$5,124,736.00 (VAT exclusive).
